Lovely Heart Canvas

Here’s a canvas I made with a romantic feel with it’s hearts, dark red roses and heart shaped gems. I started with an 8” x10” canvas which I added gesso on with a mask, then painted with craft white paint. For more texture I added a strip of burlap. The wire hearts and some of the flowers shown here I sell in my Artfire store. Click on links at the left.

Decorative Bottle

This lovely decorative bottle was created using paper, ribbon, metal charms, flowers, along with a printed vintage image and lots of lace trims.
The bottle was found in a thrift store and re-purposed for this home décor item. The bottle has a wonderful bumpy texture that gives it it’s character. This glass bottle stands 10 inches tall.

Bread Box

Here’s a metal  bread box I altered and added flowers to. It's been painted and then lightly sanded to give it that vintage country look. I added a dolly, ribbons, lace and flowers. This decorative item is about 12 inches long and 8 inches tall . This item is not intended for food use but could make for a great accent piece for your home. It would make a great recipes holder or photo holder. This Bread Box is sold on my ArtFire store … www.MooreArtFromTheHeart.artfire.com

Square Glass Ornament

I wanted to try something new with some square glass ornaments that I had. I used paper from Graphic 45 “Nutcracker Sweet” collection for the back ground image along with ribbon, lace, a white paper poinsettia, mica flakes and a crystal. For the  front of the glass I took a mask and Gesso to created a raised pattern which I then added Stickles to for some sparkle.

If you would like me to do a video tutorial on how I created this project please leave me a comment here.
Happy Holidays my friends,
Laurie

Light up your life

I recently bought three birdcages. Each one was a different color, yellow, black and one green. I decided to paint them all white. I then went looking to buy some battery operated Christmas lights to place inside but I couldn’t find any with white wires. I knew the green wires would show to much inside the cages so I took white paint and painted the wires. I wanted to give the cages a soft glow when lit and I needed a way to hold the lights in place. I tried a couple different kinds of materials and found that white small netting worked the best. I added flowers and lace to one of the cages, it seemed to need something added to the top, this cage also became my favorite with its changing colored lights.
Thanks for peeking in on me.
