Treasure the Memories

I finally finished my Tim Holtz Idea-ology Configurations Box. I used some paper from his paper pad Idea-ology. The boxes are individual so they can be rearranged or removed if you need a larger space for your treasures. What was really fun about this box was the great time I had going out with friends to look for treasures to filled it. We traveled to the Funky Junk show in Hillsboro and Ladies Night Out at the Albany Antique Mall downtown Albany, along with a lot of Junk (Treasure) stores and Antique shops. Each item has a memory that I will treasure. Also my Granddaughter really enjoyed looking at the box, so I plan to find fun kids paper and cover a box for her and then take her on a treasure hunt and make more sweet memories! Give this a try. Think of the possibilities, I think you will enjoy this quick and easy  project too! Make some memories! Enjoy a treasure hunt!

Peachee Easy

Here's a fun and easy project to make. I bought some of those large peachee's like the kind we use to use for each different class subjects. I covered both front and back with print paper, added a piece of lace down the binding. I used my Martha Stewart Scrapbooking Punch across the top of the pockets to add another lacey look. A little shear ribbon, buttons, tags and flowers added that little something extra. I tucked a few 7gypsies Scrapbooking Ancienne Ephemera Cards and some cards I made out of Graphic 45 Domestic Goddess Collection paper into the pockets. These "Peachee Easy" books make fun gifts as journals for a friend or two so give them a try.

Paper Roses

Back in the 70's I use to make these Paper Roses. Of course back then I made them out of construction paper and now with the beautiful scrapbooking paper available you can make them to match your projects or layouts. I love that they are back in. I forgot though, how much time it takes to make just one. From cutting the petals out to gluing the last one on only took me..... 35 minutes for one full rose. yikes! I'm working on making a video of how to make them but I'm going to have to get faster at it. :)

A Sign of "LOVE"

I enjoy these types of Scrapbooking projects. I started with individual wooden letters that I covered front and back with vintage style paper. I added a metal key and lock, and stamped for some accents. I then inked  and faux stitching the edges. The center of the "O" has a clear piece acetate which I stamped words of love on. I finished up by gluing the letters together so they would stand on their own.

Happy Thoughts

A group of friends of mine came up with an idea to put together a box with "Happy Thoughts" for a dear friend that was going through a rough time. They asked if I could make the box and I was happy to do so. Everyone added their own "Happy Thoughts" for her to read when she is down. We could all use a box of happy thoughts from time to time, so consider make one for someone you know who needs a pick me up.

My Art

One word, “Art”. I love many forms of  art. Scrapbooking is art to me. I have always had a passion for art that gives me a creative outlet for the things I envision. I love patterns, colors, and textures to create a sense of beauty. Scrapbooking with it’s limitless possibilities does that for me, it’s my Art.
